A MESSAGE FROM Sam's Bayou Critter Houston Marathon Fundraiser
Hi there.
As many of you know it has been quite the year for both saving critters and running marathons. In June, after shaving 17 minutes off my marathon time over an 18 month period, I QUALIFIED FOR BOSTON! Then in September I was REJECTED by the Boston Athletic Association because even though I qualified I still didn't run fast enough. I am giving it one more shot in Houston this January. I'll be honest, it will be weather dependent and the running gods will have to be kind to me on race day, but I am gonna do my best to get to Beantown.
Please consider supporting me in my quests to run Boston and save as many stray critters as possible in the process.
For your viewing pleasure I have included photos of a couple of the 33 kitties we've rescued so far this year including the "rescue from inside the bathroom wall" kitty and my dear, sweet Charlotte who we fostered for almost a year before she found her perfect forever home. And of course no fundraiser would be complete without a picture of the best rescue ever, Princess Pepper, celebrating her 10th birthday!
