Hello! My name is Betsy and this summer, I’m lacing up my sneakers and running 1 mile a day for 27 days in support of Dress for Success®, the leading global nonprofit employment resource for unemployed and underemployed women. Starting July 28 and culminating on August 23, each mile will represent one year of Dress for Success’s incredible work — 27 years of empowering women through no-fee career development, job skills training, mentoring, financial education, and professional attire services. As a volunteer career coach with Dress for Success, I’ve seen firsthand the impact this organization has. From building résumés to building confidence, the support DFS provides is life-changing. I’ve had the honor of walking alongside women as they take bold steps toward meaningful employment and long-term financial independence. To date, Dress for Success has helped more than 1.3 million women work toward self-sufficiency. To honor those 1.3 million women, I’m asking you to consider donating $13 (or more!) to my fundraising page — that’s just $1 for every 100,000 women whose lives have been touched by this work.
