A MESSAGE FROM Dreamers are running for Lola
We are a group of friends " The Dreamers "  running to raise money for " First Candle " an organization that provides 24h grief support, online support groups and peer support volunteers to help grieving families who have lost a child to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome ( SIDS ).  With your donations, First Candle educates families, nurses, social workers and caregivers to follow safe sleep guidelines for infants resulting in a dramatically reduction of SIDS. 
Mirjam, one of our team members, knows personally the grief that comes from losing a child to SIDS, she lost her daughter Lola, a lovely little girl who passed away from SIDS, when she was only five months old.  " 15 Years ago when this tragedy struck, me and my then - husband Eric thought we did not need help at the time, we had an incredible group of friends supporting us, but we realized afterwards, we should have reached out to an organization like First Candle . " 
This is why we are running. For Lola, for Bastian ( Lola's brother )  and for her mom Mirjam who is a model of strength and resilience ( this girl, she ran a Ragnar race in Zion smiling all the way through, she just did a Olympic Triathlon and is training for the NYC Marathon! ) and for every parent out there.
