A MESSAGE FROM Mary Ellen's Fundraising for Catholic Charities NYC Marathon
This will be my 5th marathon, but my first time fundraising for a charity. I am asking you to help me support Catholic Charities of NY and its St. Nicholas Project, which is a vital program to support families in need by providing them with necessities and assistance in navigating services in NYC. I have been blessed (and challenged) to raise three kids in NYC and can only imagine how difficult it would be for families in need.
I ran my first marathon 12 years ago when Ryan started Kindergarten; he started his senior year of High School yesterday. Despite the passage of time, I am hoping to improve on my personal best of 3 years ago. Please pray, that at 52, I can finish strong.
Rusty is also running the marathon for Catholic Charities. We have divided up our family and friends for outreach. I am personally donating the minimum fundraising requirement, but hoping for your additional support. While I might not beat his time, I hoping that you will help me beat him in fundraising!!!!
