A MESSAGE FROM Elisabeth Cady's Fundraising Page
A year ago - after a long hiatus - I started running again. I could barely run a mile without stopping to catch my breath. It's been 12 months of early runs, late runs, short runs, long runs, blinding sun, freezing wind, crossing bridges, dodging cars, and I gotta say, I can justtt about run a mile now. So I'm going to run 26.2.
In November, I'll be running my first marathon - in the city I love and have called home for 11 years. I've run wild through these streets for so long, I might as well start doing it for a good cause!
That cause is the Lupus Research Alliance.

If you or anyone you care for suffer from an autoimmune disease, you know the complexity, pain, and often "invisible" suffering that it entails. Lupus is a chronic inflammatory disease without a cure. It can affect any organ in the body, including the joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs. It is very poorly understood and more research is crucial.
My older sister has lived with Lupus for over 10 years. I am constantly in awe of her grace and strength. She's a badass - and these 26.2 miles are for her and everyone else that faces life with chronic illness.
Please consider supporting my fundraising efforts for the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon!
100% of your donation will go directly to support Lupus research.
Any and all donations are so appreciated - and if you donate $50+, you'll receive a 5x7 cyanotype print from me.
No donation is too small
Thank you! :)
