Women are an integral part of our lives, serving as caregivers, nurturers, role models, and so much more. The women in my life have taught and inspired me so much, and I'm sure the women in your life have too. Unfortunately, some women leave too soon. Each year thousands of women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer, which can be particularly devastating because if not detected early the survival rate drops significantly. In fact, 80% of the time, ovarian cancer is discovered too late, which leads to a 27% survival rate.
This is where Tina's Wish comes in. This organization is committed to advancing research for ovarian cancer early detection and prevention, with the goal of reducing the percentage of women diagnosed too late. By supporting Tina's Wish, we can help improve the lives of women affected by ovarian cancer and give them a much better chance at survival.
As someone who has had a family member beat cancer, and family friends saved by early diagnosis, I am passionate about supporting Tina's Wish. That's why I am running the New York City marathon with the Tina's Wish Team - to raise awareness and funds for this important cause.
I hope to help other families save their loved ones and honor the incredible women in our lives who inspire us every day.
