On November 19, 2016 at 3:27a.m. I lost my mother(Kay Kirk) to Glioblastoma. It's hard to believe it has been almost 3 years! Glioblastoma is a very aggressive form of brain cancer that does not have a cure. My mom fought this horrific disease for 8 long months with all she had! She never gave up! I am once again joining the 3000 Miles to a Cure Team that is set up specifically in helping find a cure for brain cancer. Last year I was able to raise $2,709.57 with your help. This year I am hoping to raise more! When I found this fundraiser, I knew it was for me! The Grand Canyon was on Mom's bucket list, and I was fortunate enough to be able to complete this journey for her! Last year was such a great experience! I hiked every step with her on my mind, knowing I was helping the next family who would be diagnosed with this terrible disease.
