A MESSAGE FROM Lisa
On June 9, 2024, I'll jump off a boat into the ice-cold waters off Alcatraz Island, swim to San Francisco's shore, navigating strong currents and avoiding “marine wildlife” (... sharks?), and then tackle an 18-mile bike ride and 8-mile run through San Francisco's infamously steep hills.
Competing in the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon is not just a personal challenge for me; it's also an opportunity to raise funds for a cause I care about. I'm excited to participate as member of The Healy Foundation (THF) team and help raise funds for students experiencing financial hardship.
THF supports high-achieving college juniors and seniors of financial need who experience unexpected hardship, such as the death of a parent, health crises, parental unemployment, and other financial burdens that threaten to derail their education and future. THF provides financial assistance as well as mentorship and career guidance that has enabled scholars to graduate and professionally flourish. My goal is to fundraise $2000, and I’d love your support! Donations of any amount are welcome and appreciated.
