The patients at Connecticut Children’s have bold ambitions. They dream of becoming doctors, firefighters, teachers and even unicorn-whisperers. The tiniest premature babies in our Neonatal Intensive Care Units grow stronger each day in specialized isolettes—called Giraffe Omnibeds—until they can finally go home with their families. Our adolescent and young adult patients can visit teen lounges and engage in age-appropriate activities to encourage comradery with their peers while they’re in for treatment.
