A MESSAGE FROM Julie Campbell
A year ago, I never considered that I could run a marathon; it was a distance reserved for other people. However, my mindset shifted recently as I began pushing my physical limits, challenging myself through the intense NYC Hyrox competition, and discovering a newfound drive to conquer that which was seemingly out of reach. This journey taught me that impossible is just a starting point. Now, I am taking on my ultimate challenge of running a full marathon, transforming that personal physical ambition into a powerful purpose by racing on behalf of the Mission of Our Lady of the Angels.
The Mission of Our Lady of the Angels (OLA) is a Franciscan order located in Chicago’s West Humboldt Park, dedicated to providing a vital safety net for the local community. Supporting their work hits close to home for me. Feeding hungry children and families is a cause that has been profoundly important to my family, rooted deeply in the values passed down by my parents. OLA currently provides essential food and household items to roughly 4,000 local families each month while running impactful after-school tutoring and safe-haven programs for neighborhood youth. By donating to my campaign, you aren't just helping me cross a finish line I once thought was impossible to reach - you are directly supporting a compassionate Franciscan ministry that ensures families have access to food, basic necessities, and a safe, supportive community.
Thank you so much for your generosity and for being a part of this mission with me!
