In 2016 my spouse, Kristi was diagnosed with Stage 3 brain cancer. For the eight hour surgery to remove her tumor, doctors from University of Colorado Hospital - Anschutz used seven combined methods for the very first time. This included a brand new in-surgery MRI machine and an "Awake Session" with a speech therapist to identify the different areas of the cognitive speech center next to the tumor. Her surgery would not have been possible without the years of research and clinical studies to develop these medical procedures made possible through funding campaigns. I'm joining forces with 3000 Miles to a Cure to raise much needed funds to make successful surgeries like Kristi's possible for everyone who needs them.
