I am so honored to be running for a cause that is so near to my heart in this city that is now my home!
For those that may not know, the New York Junior League is a volunteer-powered organization of women from all walks of life bound by a single goal: to improve the health and well-being of women, children, and families in our city.
Almost every night of the week, in neighborhoods across New York City, NYJL volunteers engage women, children, young people, and families from low-income and underserved communities in health, education, arts, and social support programs. With over 2,800 volunteers working with more than 60 community organizations, NYJL volunteers are consistently present, organized, and integral for advancing partners’ missions to strengthen the economic, social, and emotional wellbeing of New York City’s women and children.
Personally, I volunteer with and serve on the Steps to Success Committee which empowers adults and young adults on the path to independent success. We help them prepare to enter or re-enter the workforce by developing their professional skills of resume writing, interviewing, and networking, and by making sound decisions in matters of
personal finance.
My goal is to raise $3,500 for the NYJL, and 100% of this will go directly to supporting our amazing community partners! I would so appreciate any support you would be willing to offer to get to my goal of 26.2 miles for this cause.
