A MESSAGE FROM Guillermo
Hi Everyone! My name is Guillermo and I am an avid distance runner participating in my third NYC Marathon. I am running on the Brain Aneurysm Foundation's team in memory of my brother Mario, who passed away from a fatal brain aneurysm last year on November 16, 2022. His aneurysm struck on Marathon Sunday last year (November 6th), so this year's running is both special and emotional for me. My mom and I would sincerely appreciate any donation you can provide as we honor him this Marathon Sunday.
Some facts about Brain Aneurysms you may not know: 1 in 50 people has an unruptured aneurysm. That equals 6.5 million people in the United States. 30,000 people in the U.S. suffer a rupture each year and half of those do not survive.
Please help me as I strive to change those statistics by helping the BAF continue their mission to spread awareness and save lives. Brain aneurysms are beatable and treatable if detected early. Awareness can save lives!
