For those who are not already aware, I am running the 2024 New York City Marathon in an effort to raise much needed funds for New Destiny Housing, a NYC-based non-profit devoted to ending the cycle of homelessness and domestic violence for low-income individuals and families. Domestic violence is a leading cause of homelessness in New York City. New Destiny works tirelessly to end the cycles of domestic violence and homelessness and made amazing progress towards those goals by securing permanent housing for over 1,800 survivors and their children last year. I have chosen to raise awareness about the links between domestic violence and homelessness, as well as charitable funding, in support of New Destiny as an NYC Marathon runner this year.
