A MESSAGE FROM Whitney’s Team27Tx

On July 4, 2025, twenty seven girls lost their lives in the floods at Camp Mystic. Each was unique, yet all were remembered for their kindness, generosity, and the way they lifted others with love and joy. To carry that spirit forward, their families created Heaven’s 27 Foundation.

Please join me in supporting Heaven’s 27 Foundation during my 19th Houston Marathon on January 18, 2026.

It is not lost on us the amount of heartbreak we feel for these girls and their families and at the same time the amount of courage and strength they have show in the face of the unimaginable. We feel their collective grief and what a special way to honor them. We will be cheering for you and Leighton! I found it also special that 54 is a denomination of 18 (which means life in Judaism) and at first I thought I’ll donate 27 to you both and then realized 27+27 is 54. It’s a sign these angels will be carrying y’all across the finish line and there is something beautiful about that too. We’ll be cheering for y’all on the boulevard!
