On March 16, 2025 I will be running the LA Marathon for the 5th straight year, and I'm raising money for Reading to Kids. I would truly appreciate your support - no matter how large or how small - of this great organization. My race fees have already been paid, so your donation goes directly to Reading to Kids to support the monthly reading clubs.  I started volunteering with Reading to Kids in 2018, and in a few months will reach the milestone of having read to kids at downtown LA elementary schools on SEVENTY Saturday mornings. Many of the kids in our program come from immigrant families, and it is more important than ever for them to have a place where they can discover the joy of reading and learning in a safe and supportive environment. I've included more information about Reading to Kids below. 

Reading to Kids is a grassroots organization dedicated to inspiring underserved children with a love of reading, thereby enriching their lives and opportunities for future success. We organize monthly reading clubs at Los Angeles elementary schools, where pairs of volunteers read aloud to small groups of children, grades K-5, in a fun and interactive environment. The hardcover read-aloud books are donated to the school libraries, while the children receive paperback books to build their own home libraries.
