A MESSAGE FROM Lindsay's Fundraising Page
On April 13th, 2021 the unthinkable happened when my mom unexpectedly passed away from a ruptured brain aneurysm. Through these hard events we learned that family history can be an indicator of brain aneurysm and the risk in some families with direct relatives with brain aneurysm are as high as 30%. My family was all preventatively tested, only to find out that both my sister and I did have brain aneurysms on our scans. Due to this preventative screening and knowledge, we both were able to have procedures performed to manage our brain aneurysms and our scans now indicate we are fully healed..
Raising awareness for brain aneurysms and how many people they effect yearly is more important to me more than ever. About 30,000 people in the United States suffer a brain aneurysm rupture each year and almost 500,000 deaths worldwide each year caused by brain aneurysms, half the these victims are younger than 50. Please support me in raising money for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation to help raise awareness and knowledge as prevention can help to save lives!
