A MESSAGE FROM Ryan's fundraising
Iris Fund Ride – A Challenge, A Bond, and Probably My Demise 🚴♂️
I’ve never seriously ridden a bike. Ever. But for some reason, I’ve decided that now is the perfect time to challenge myself for a great cause. More importantly, this ride is a chance to experience something truly special with my brother, who actually knows what he’s doing on a bike. While he cruises through the miles with ease, I’ll be grinding my way forward, fueled by sheer willpower, questionable decision-making, and the promise of a well-earned beer at the finish line.
But this ride isn’t just about the suffering (mine) and the scenery (hopefully beautiful). It’s about supporting The Iris Fund, an incredible organization working to understand what causes labor in a full-term pregnancy—so that we can eventually stop labor from starting too early. Right now, 15 million babies a year are born prematurely, many facing serious complications that impact both baby and mother. The Iris Fund is on a mission to reduce infant mortality due to prematurity and improve maternal health for women everywhere.
So, if you’d like to contribute to this cause (or just support my inevitable demise on the bike), I’d be incredibly grateful. Every donation helps push this vital research forward—and might just help keep me peddling a little longer.
