A MESSAGE FROM Joseph's Berlin Marathon Fundraising Page
I am running the Berlin Marathon on September 29, 2024 in support of The Foundation For Tomorrow (TFFT).
I have committed to raising $3,500 to help TFFT continue their mission of securing quality education and emotional support for orphan and vulnerable children so that they may reach their full potential and thrive in their communities.
Focused on work in Tanzania, TFFT envisions a world where all children contribute to society as active and empowered citizens free of exclusion, disadvantage, and vulnerability. Through their holistic services including, access to quality schooling, health and psychosocial support, and life skills programs, TFFT provides orphan and vulnerable children in Tanzania with the tools they need to succeed.
We all understand the value and power of a quality education has on the trajectory of one’s life. I am sure you can tie your own education to where you are today- I certainly can. It also has exponential power in Tanzania, where 45% of the population is
under the age of 15 and there are over 3 million orphans. We know that with each additional year of schooling, an individual’s earnings increase by up to 10%. With a quality education, people marry later, plan for their families, run a healthier
household, put their own children through school, and more. Your investment today in a TFFT scholar transforms communities.
On a personal level, I challenged myself with the goal of running my first marathon in 2024. I trained for 3+ months this past winter for the Vienna City Marathon, only to be knocked out of the race by a grade 4a tibial stress reaction a couple weeks before. I learned many valuable lessons from the training process, including those that come with failure, and am thankful for another opportunity to achieve this goal. I won't be denied a second time, and I am excited to be raising funds for such a great cause with Team TFFT.
Please donate and THANK YOU for your support!
