A MESSAGE FROM Caroline’s Bras for Girls NYC Marathon Fundraiser
Bras for Girls is focused on providing sports bras to girls aged 8-18 to counteract several statistics on girls leaving sports because of discomfort with their developing bodies. They also provide breast education material to girls along with the sports bra. I’m grateful to my mom who took me to Limited Too in grade school to get my first sports bra, but not all girls get a seamless intro or have access to needed resources. 

As an adult, I can personally vouch for the benefits that a well-fitting sports bra have on my overall experience, but also the drawbacks when something doesn’t work! What I love about this organization is that it’s founded in science and statistics, which also align with my professional aspirations for equitable biomechanics research spanning the female body as well as the male’s.
