I am so excited to be part of the 2025 End Child Poverty California Marathon Team! Did you know that about 20% of children in California are experiencing poverty and the effects of financial insecurity? I find this unacceptable in the 5th largest economy in the world. The outcomes associated with poverty are impacting not just the lives of these children, their families, and communities, but all of us. We need to answer a collective call to action to change this reality for generations of Californians.I am answering the call by training and running to help this extraordinary organization with their work to finally end child poverty in California. As someone with two little boys, I see the importance of being able to provide a solid foundation for children.
