A MESSAGE FROM Maria
Five years ago this June, my sweet sister Jenny died from brain cancer. I miss her so much. I'm trying to make some sense of her death by raising desperately-needed funds for brain cancer research. We would like to see a reasonable treatment for those who will be diagnosed with this hopeless disease in the future . On May 19-26, 2019 I will join a small team of brain cancer warriors cycling the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway. That's 469 miles with 48,600 feet of climbing over the course of 7 days! We are taking on this challenge to bring hope! I need your support to reach my goal of raising $2,800 before we Ride the Blue Ridge. Thank you for joining me in this race to #beatbraincancer.

    You're doing a good thing Maria. Enjoy the Parkway, I've hiked quite a bit of the AT in its vicinity. If you take Skyline thru Shenandoah, hit the grill at Elkwallow Wayside as hard as I did :) Hope you, Jim and the brood are doing well. Tell Jim we merged with the big group in Huntsville last year, and now I get 14 weeks of vacation!
