The 50th TCS New York City Marathon is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 7. The TCS NYC Marathon represents the best of New York―when all New Yorkers come together to support each other and cheer on their neighbors.
For the ninth year, City Harvest has been selected as a charity partner for the NYC marathon. This year, City Harvest has built a team of 75 runners with a collective goal of raising $275,000 to help feed the more than 1.5 million New Yorkers who are struggling to put meals on their tables.
Founded in 1982, City Harvest is NYC's largest food rescue organization; this year it will rescue 111 million pounds of food and deliver it - free of charge - to hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens, and other community partners across the five boroughs. Its programs help food-insecure New Yorkers access nutritious food that fits their needs; increase its community partners' capacity; and strengthen the local food system, building a path to a food secure future for all New Yorkers.
On behalf of BlackRock and City Harvest, the following individuals are running the 2021 TSC NYC marathon with a collective fundraising goal of $10,000. Please consider donating to support them and an important cause!
