A MESSAGE FROM Shonte's Breast Friends
In May of 2022, I had my routine mammogram and a lump was discovered. After two mammograms, ultrasound, biopsy and MRI, it was found that I had Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I went through 6 months of chemotherapy, surgery, 33 rounds of radiation and 1 year of immunotherapy. The mammogram saved my life! It's so important to be able to offer every woman the chance to receive these important exams.
That is why I am joining forces with other Track Shack ladies to raise funds for the AdventHealth Breast Cancer Care Fund, which provides free breast imaging diagnostic exams and cancer treatment to women in need. Every $135 raised provides a mammogram for an uninsured or underserved woman in Central Florida. Early detection is key. It helped save my life!
