A MESSAGE FROM Colleen's Fundraising Page
Dear Friends and Family,
Living back in my hometown of Annapolis, Maryland, has been truly inspiring. Being so close to the Naval Academy, I get to see the midshipmen training with unwavering dedication, running past my house day after day. Many of them aspire to become Navy SEALs, but only a small percentage make it through the grueling selection process. Those who do must face unimaginable challenges, putting the welfare and security of others before their own.
This will be my second year participating in The Annapolis Frogman 5k Swim, and of all the races I’ve completed over the years, this one has been the most profound honor. Last year, I had the humbling opportunity to meet families who had lost their Navy SEAL loved ones. Hearing their stories and witnessing their strength deeply impacted me and reinforced the importance of supporting the Navy SEAL Foundation.
I am once again honored to take on this cold-water challenge to benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation. This organization supports wounded and fallen Naval Special Warfare personnel and their families, providing immediate and ongoing assistance during their greatest times of need.
Please consider supporting my swim by donating through the link below. Your contribution will make a tremendous difference. 100% of the net proceeds from the swim will be donated to the Navy SEAL Foundation, a top-rated charity with a four-star and 100% rating from Charity Navigator. The foundation's mission is to support the Naval Special Warfare community and their families by:
• Providing immediate and ongoing assistance to families who have lost a loved one in training or combat.
• Supporting family events to boost morale and encourage camaraderie.
• Awarding scholarships and offering educational assistance to families of the Naval Special Warfare Community.
• Preserving the rich history and heritage of Naval Special Warfare.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and support!
With gratitude,
Colleen
