I am thrilled to announce that I will be running the NYC Marathon again this year with Good Sports this upcoming November to raise money for the Good Sports Foundation. Good Sports in a national nonprofit that gives kids in low-income communities greater access to sports and physical activity.The foundation works with companies like Nike and Under Armour to donate brand-new equipment, apparel and footwear to children and youth organizations across the country. Unfortunately, the cost to play keeps kids in need from experiencing these benefits. Every dollar raised will help Good Sports donate more equipment and create equitable access in youth sports!
I have had a love for sports since a young age and the lessons I have learned through being a teammate and working towards a bigger goal for more than just myself have shaped me into who I am today. I owe my love for running and my second time running the marathon to all of my teammates and coaches who helped me grow into the person I now am.
I am so excited to be a part of Good Sports and raise money to provide access to sports equipment to high-risk, low-income communities. Sports to not only provide an outlet and many lessons applicable to all walks of life, but also provide direction for children and give them bigger opportunities in life.
My goal is to raise as much as possible to support this cause. Any donation at all helps! Thank you for your support!
