I'm excited to be running the NYC Marathon with Bras for Girls -  Thank you for your support! 

I didn't get into running until adulthood, after the birth of my first child, and I feel like I missed out on years of benefit. I have personally gained so much through running - mental health benefits, fitness & strength, and community, just to name a few. I want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to find joy in sports. 

Bras for Girls is making a huge impact, focusing on a time period when many girls abandon sports. The organization donates new, high-quality sports bras and breast development education booklets to girls in need. Lack of a sports bra is one of the reasons that girls' participation in sports drops off significantly from ages 10-17. At least 1 in 4 girls does not have access to a sports bra, and over 50% of girls do not wear a sports bra during exercise!
