A MESSAGE FROM Eduardo Aldana
Thank you for considering a donation with BandWith Chicago! Since its inception in 2013, BandWith has addressed the need for access to music and creativity in Chicago’s East Garfield Park neighborhood. Annie Palomino launched BandWith when the band program was dropped from LEARN Campbell Charter School due to budget cuts. Starting a nonprofit allowed Annie to continue providing free access to music instruction to students at the LEARN Campbell Campus while increasing reach to new students. Since then, BandWith has developed into an independent organization that offers individual and small group music instruction, weekly ensemble play, and performance opportunities to participating youth throughout the year. BandWith has purchased a neglected building in East Garfield Park—just down the street from LEARN—and is in the process of transforming it into a state-of-the-art performing arts center to serve its community. As a musician myself, I understand how music can play a significant role in shaping both youth and adults. From a young age, music teaches discipline, focus, and the importance of practice. As we grow, these qualities translate into life skills, helping us navigate challenges and stay committed to our goals. Whether learning an instrument or appreciating different genres, music fosters personal growth and emotional resilience. Please support my fundraising efforts for the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. No donation is too small. Please click on the donate button!
