I'm excited to announce that I'll be running the 2026 Chicago Marathon with the Lumpen Radio team!
Lumpen Radio (WLPN-LP 105.5FM) is Chicago’s independent, community-powered radio station that amplifies voices you won’t hear anywhere else. From youth reporters and immigrant storytellers to local artists and community journalism, Lumpen Radio creates space for culture, care, and real conversations across the city.
I’m running with Lumpen Radio because independent media matters, now more than ever. It keeps our communities informed and connected in this time of misinformation and division. Many of you may not know but while I was in college I had the great experience of interning with a non-profit founded by a small group of radio activists that helps local radio stations around the country get off the ground and running. I saw first-hand how local media could be a tool for community organizing and expression.
I hope you will consider donating to help train emerging storytellers, expand multilingual coverage, and keep this local platform on the air for everyone who calls Chicago home. Thank you in advance for your contribution and for helping us go the distance for community.
