A MESSAGE FROM Tom Tavoularis - Los Angeles 2024 Marathon Charity Run For American Cancer Society
Hello Family and Friends!!!
I am participating in the LA Marathon Charity Run 2024 as a member of the American Cancer Society Team again this year. This will be my 5th year in a row running in the LA Marathon.
I almost didn't run this year due to a couple of lingering injuries, but I am going to press through because this is too important for me to sit out. I have lost both my parents to cancer. Everyone has been or knows someone that has been affected by cancer. There have been so many advances in medicine that have helped save your life, the life of a loved one or a friend. I am dedicated to continuing to help raise money for the American Cancer Society so that the medical advances in treating so many types of cancer can continue to make strides and save millions of more lives.
I want to Thank You, in advance, for your donation to the American Cancer Society's LA Marathon DetermiNation Team!!! Our mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer - and we ALL thank you for your support. Since 1991, the cancer mortality rate has dropped 29%. That's 2.9 million fewer deaths from cancer during that time, thanks in part to breakthroughs in research and improvements in early detection and treatment. All of the work of the American Cancer Society and the critical progress made in the fight against cancer is fueled by your generosity.
Will you do one more thing to increase your impact? Promote your support through social media. Please share with your community on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram about your work to help fight cancer. You may inspire others to join in! Studies show that people are more likely to donate to an organization when they hear about it from a friend or family member. You can multiply the impact your donation significantly by encouraging your personal network to join you in the fight against cancer. Thank you again for being in the fight!!!
Thank You and God Bless!!!
Tom
