On July 4, 2025, twenty seven girls at Camp Mystic lost their lives in the flood. Each was unique, yet all were remembered for their kindness, generosity, and the way they lifted others with love and joy. I am training for and running for the Dallas 2026 marathon to honor and remember them, especially Janie Hunt, a beloved member of my extended family. I have completed and enjoyed numerous half marathons, but I am taking on the challenge of running 26.2 miles to give more of myself in honoring and celebrating the Heaven’s 27.
