Here we go!!
The race is tomorrow, and I wanted to take a moment to thank you all again for your support. The nerves are starting to kick in for sure, but I’m ready to tackle the streets of NYC.

12 Days
Twelve. Days.
So close - nerves are definitely starting to kick in. I'm eager to get up to the start line, and very much looking forward to finishing. I could not do this without your support. Thank you all for stepping up and helping this wonderful cause. The training is logged, and we're now in taper... I'm hoping this nice weather holds for a few more weeks - but whatever the environment is we'll get it done.

One month away
We're just under a month away and my training is peaking. I got in an 18 mile training run, and am feeling good about the race. I've run my fair share of half-marathons, and have admittedly always been scared of the full. However after this weekend's run I can say that I finally feel ready.
You are all with me on each step of the way, and I could not do this without you all...Lots of support from friends, family, and colleagues... I am humbled by your generosity.

With great gratitude
We are at a third of the way there after 24 hours, and I cannot begin to thank you all for the support (although I absolutely will try). I'm blown away by the support shown - I'm certainly using this as training fuel... especially on those days when rolling out of bed to train is tough. Today was one of those days, as I only got 3 hours of sleep after flying to the west coast last night. Training while traveling is certainly going to present it's challenges, but I'm up for the task.
One last thought - after nearly 39 rotations around the sun I've put together quite a friend network. Seeing some names pop up on here is quite nostalgic and candidly is quite humbling. I appreciate you.

The journey begins with a single step
So here we are - I've committed to running the 2022 NYC marathon, and need your help to get there. I'm running with team EndoStrong, and will be raising money to support the Endometriosis foundation. Endometriosis has hit my family close, and I am happy to say that we are 13 months post procedure and Ali 's progress has been incredible. What was once the cause of bedridden days is behind us and allowed us to spend more time together as a family. I am thankful for her, her doctors, and the support the Endo community has brought her. I am looking to give back with this fundraising efforts. I'll take care of the training, hydration, stretching - YOU help me get on the course with your generosity.
I'm hopeful that I can keep this diary updated over the next weeks and months. I appreciate you all - now let's get to work.
