I’m at it again! On October 2, 2023 I will join a small team of Brain Cancer Warriors to hike 26 miles from the North Rim to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon – IN ONE DAY.
Each year, I’m driven to embark on this special journey in honor of my dear sister Anna, cousin Jason, and Uncle Q, who lost their battles to cancer, as well as to bring hope to those battling brain cancer and other forms of this disease.
3000 Miles to a Cure is a group that is very close to my heart. I had the privilege of seeing the creation of this incredible organization 10 years ago when my my roommate’s mom, Maria Parker, took on a 3,000 mile bike race to fundraise for brain cancer research on behalf of her sister.
In 2018, in my own sister’s final months battling colon cancer, 3000 provided me the opportunity to channel my own grief into ACTION, and introduced me to a remarkable community of warriors, many of whom continue to walk alongside me today. The research and efforts funded by 3000 continue to make strides towards a cure for brain cancer. I believe this research will also be monumental in the fight against all forms of cancer.
As some may know, this will be my fourth time to complete this trek. I am continually humbled by the overwhelming support received. You are making an impact funding invaluable research! Last year our team was able to present a $100,000 check to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute for their glioblastoma/brain cancer research project.
Once again, I am asking for your help to reach my goal of raising $3,000 before we Cross the Canyon. No donation is too small, every dollar counts!
Thank you so much for joining me in this race to #beatbraincancer #beatallcancer !
Please feel free to share this with others!
Thank you for your support!
- Mollie
