Friends and family - this fall I'll be running my first marathon, and doing so on behalf of my mom. I've thought about running a marathon for a long time, and it was only at the opportunity to kick off my first year in NY, and with the motivation that it's supporting the person closest to me, that I am finally taking the plunge.
Entrance to the NYC marathon is quite competitive (there are a surprising number of people that want to subject themselves to this experience), so my admission is sponsored by the Lupus Research Alliance, to whom I've committed raising $3,500 to support their effort to better understand and beat Lupus. The organization's Board covers administrative costs, so 100% of your donation drives research to find a cure.
