A MESSAGE FROM Fundraising Page
I have never really been a keen runner but you would always find me at the gym, going on hikes and exploring the world through travel. I grew up in NY and have always wanted to run in the NYC marathon but kept pushing it saying “one day” and this year my attitude changed. In 2022, I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. Since I have set larger than life goals for myself-I will be starting with no training all the way up to running my first NYC Marathon! I probably wont be the fastest but this race mean so much to me both physically and mentally after facing the hardest year of my life. It makes it that much more special to be able to run for an incredible organization- T.E.A.L (Tell Every Amazing Lady about Ovarian Cancer). Because the signs of ovarian cancer are often difficult to spot, many women discover that they are sick when it is too late. This wonderful charity provides awareness about the signs, symptoms, and risk factors of ovarian cancer in order to promote early detection and save lives! I knew this was the right fit as it’s something I’m really passionate about and partnering with T.E.A.L is the greatest victory! They are helping so many women just like me and I am so honored to run for them and run with a strong group.
Please support my fundraising efforts for the 2023 UNITED AIRLINES NYC HALF FUNDRAISING. No donation is too small and it will be used by T.E.A.L in the quest to fight this disease.
