A MESSAGE FROM Michael

November 9, 2021...I did it!!!

All the hard work and training paid off. It took a bit longer that I had hoped but it is conquered! 26.2 miles through the streets of NYC. DONE!!!

Training Update November 1st....

Months of training all lead to Sunday, November 7th. I am ready and happy to run the streets of my hometown!

Training Update October 7th!

The marathon is about a month away and the training is going great. I can’t wait to run the 5 boros and listen to the cheers. It’s going to be an amazing experience. Come out and support all of the SNACK* runners that have been working hard to make a difference.

Training Update September 12th....

My training is in full effect and I have been staying on track (no pun intended). My longest run to date is 18 miles, which I never thought I would be able to do a year ago. I am so excited for this opportunity and can't wait for the big day. Finding the time to get my runs in, especially the long ones, hasn't been easy with my crazy work hours but, I am getting it done. I post my training runs on Facebook under the hashtag #BigMikesMarathon. Check it out to see my runs and of course the link to donate.

Well, it's been a long journey working on my fitness and when this opportunity came up I couldn't say no, soooo....I am proud to say I am running the 2021 TCS New York City Marathon to support SNACK*, a haven where children, teens and young adults with autism and other special needs can find special programming and "Fun, Friends, & Hope”. SNACK* is near and dear to our family as it was started by our cousin Jackie for her son Joey and other children who fall on the autism spectrum.
