January of 2021 my sister, Debbie Seabock, passed away as a result of triple negative breast cancer. Every day I give thanks for each moment of her 49 years that we were able to share.
Although very personal, I would like to share a passage from a note she left behind-
After I am gone, please don't say I lost my battle with breast cancer. I think I did my best to thrive regardless of it. I learned to live with it. I have thrived spending time with family and friends. I have enjoyed my home and the outdoors, I have valued the moments more and lived in the day rather than waiting for a better tomorrow.
I could not love or miss Debbie more. Even in some of her most difficult moments she lived her life inspiring others to be the best version of themselves. Debbie was truly my best friend and a great sister, mother, wife, daughter, aunt, and our family will all be walking/running in her memory this year. The CT Breast Health Initiative was a cause that Debbie herself walked and raised money for as well. Please consider making any size donation (nothing is too small) to Team Debbie in memory of Debbie or to honor/in memory of someone that inspires you this Mother's Day.
Thank you for supporting The Connecticut Breast Care Health Initiative!
Thank you from all of us who loved Debbie!
