As a cancer survivor, I know the importance of mammograms and having regular breast wellness checks. In February 2017, my mammogram indicated some abnormal changes. This led to my breast cancer diagnosis. I was fortunate to have had the mammogram when I did. The breast cancer was caught early and on cinco de mayo in 2017, I underwent a double mastectomy. The cancer was found in three different spots, one which was not yet visible during my mammogram. Early detection is the key to survival… that mammogram saved my life!
I am joining forces with other Track Shack ladies to raise funds for the AdventHealth Breast Cancer Care Fund, which provides free breast imaging diagnostic exams and cancer treatment to women in need. Every $135 raised helps to provide a mammogram for an uninsured or underserved woman in Central Florida. Early detection is key. Help us save a life!
