I’m running the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon in support of the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation (CBTF), and I invite you to join me by making a meaningful donation. For over 35 years, CBTF has grown into a national leader providing year-round programs for families facing a pediatric brain or spinal cord tumor—from diagnosis through treatment, survivorship, and bereavement.
8 months ago, I was diagnosed with my own life-threatening cervical spine tumor. 6 months ago, I underwent a craniotomy with the risks of having to relearn many things that we all take for granted, like swallowing & walking. Not only did I & my extraordinary Neurosurgery team avoid all possible complications, this past January I began to run again!
