Hey friends,
This coming year I was lucky enough to be selected to run
with the Wild Tomorrow Fund team
in the NY Marathon. If you asked me 5 years ago if I would ever run a marathon,
I would tell you that you were out of your mind thinking that I would
take the punishment of a full marathon (or run anything longer than a 5k). This
was mostly because I selfishly thought I could never do it. But as we’ve seen, after
the last few years, anything can happen.
I am so happy to say that I am running with team Wild
Tomorrow because their mission is so crucial and if you know anything about me,
I love animals. The Fund’s goal is threefold: 1) to help protect animals and
their habitat, 2) to restore destroyed habitats, and 3) re-wild ecosystems where a
multitude of species live. Through their work within Southern Africa, they have
done incredible work, but it is never done.
In order to run with them (and not get charged out the wazoo) I need to raise a total of $3,000. There is so much this Fund can do and every donation helps get them there. I am truly grateful to all of you who donate, not only to help me get to the starting line but also to help this organization race towards the finish line (pun very much intended).
I cannot thank you enough for helping me get on my way to running my first ever marathon!
Best,
Coleman
