Thank you for supporting the mission of GRACE. I chose this charity because I believe in supporting all indvidiuals with all abilities, but autism spectrum disorder hits 1 in 44. It is a passion of mine and close to home for many.
For many years I worked with an incredible individual named Nicholas D’Amora. He was non-verbal and expressed his thoughts, feelings, and emotions utilizing a communication board. He was the most amazing person I have met and my life is forever changed by knowing him. Nicholas suffered a seizure and passed away on May 15,2023. Nicholas gave so much to me and I would like to run the NYC Marathon in his memory. All proceeds will help keep his legacy alive and live on through the GRACE Foundation.
The proceeds raised at the upcoming marathon will be used for the creation/planning and building of a state-of-the-art incubation kitchen that will be part of The GRACE Foundation's footprint. The amazing thing is that this kitchen can be utilized for all those with all various abilities. Not only will this kitchen be utiltized for all of the individuals living with ASD, it will cultivate local job opportunies and accelerate local economic growth while giving all those with all abilities the opportunity to shine. Our goal everyday is to educate the community on ASD and bridge that gap that sometimes marginalizes our participants within our community. Won't you be part of our journey with us?
