A MESSAGE FROM Team Science
For me, the ways that cancer has impacted my life is not my story tell. The stories are always in the small moments. In the moments of diagnosis, the moments of fear, the moments of acceptance, the moments of fight, and the moments of exhaustion.
In an era of absolute disregard for science, it is ESSENTIAL that we continue to raise money and attention to the things rooted in science. We must resist in this capacity.
We must continue to be selfless in the pursuit of our fellow man, donate blood, bone marrow, stem cells, money, food, and time to the people who need us.
I am running for survivors in my world. And I will run for your fighters that are no longer with us.
I cannot express enough how important it is for our society to show up for each other in this way.
For many years, Spirit of Survival has been an integral part of the Lawton community and Southwest Oklahoma. It brought participants both locally and from around the country to participate in support of the fight against cancer. This event has been very near to our hearts since its beginning as it is a beacon of hope for those who have battled, continue to battle, or have lost a loved one to cancer.
