A MESSAGE FROM Crossing the Canyon to Kick Cancer
I’ll never forget the moment 12.5 years ago when the team at UR Strong found a brain tumor in my dad’s scans. The funny thing about brain tumors is that they don’t typically originate in the brain. What that meant for us was stage 4 lung cancer, tumor on his kidney, tumor on his adrenal gland and a diagnosis of two months to live. Through research, a dedicated and relentless medical team and a supportive “team MB” community my dad is a living miracle still with us today.
To support those that have had their lives turned upside down in a matter of minutes and to keep fighting the fight for those who have lost their battle, I'm joining forces with 3000 Miles to a Cure to raise desperately-needed funds for brain cancer research.
On September, I will join a small team of brain cancer warriors hiking 26 miles from the North Rim to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. We will complete this crossing in one day to bring hope to those fighting brain cancer.
If you’re able, please consider donating to my journey in kicking cancer to the curb (and across the canyon!). Any amount is greatly appreciated and is one step closer to creating more miracles.
Thank you for joining me in this race to #beatbraincancer. #TeamMB
