A MESSAGE FROM Amanda runs a marathon for CBTF
I’m running the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon in support of the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation (CBTF), and I invite you to join me by making a meaningful donation. For over 35 years, CBTF has grown from a small New York organization offering information and peer support into a national leader providing year-round programs for families facing a pediatric brain or spinal cord tumor—from diagnosis through treatment, survivorship, and bereavement.
As founders of the Children’s Brain Tumor Network, CBTF champions collaboration to drive research forward and address the often devastating long-term effects of treatment. Your support helps ensure that children, survivors, and families across the country receive the community, resources, and hope they need.
This foundation means a lot to me because my younger sister was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of 8 (she will be 23 by the time I run)and since then has endured so many surgeries. She is my warrior and my hero! I also have seen first hand how brain tumors can completely change the dynamics of a family and I want to do my part and help the transition.
