A MESSAGE FROM Christi's Fundraising Page
On July 4, 2025, twenty-seven girls lost their lives in the floods at Camp Mystic. Each was unique, yet all were remembered for their kindness, generosity, and the way they lifted others with love and joy. To carry that spirit forward, their families created Heaven’s 27 Foundation.
As a teacher at Casis Elementary where two of the girls attended school, I've seen their legacy endure within the community. The students have walked through grief far beyond their years and will forever hold both of the girls close to their hearts. I'm running in honor of all the girls who lost their lives as well as the friends who continue to cherish their sweet memories.
