A MESSAGE FROM Angel Macias New York City Marathon
Thank you so very much for your support! The New York City Marathon has always been a big goal for me as a Queens native - I've been watching the race my entire life. I'm raising money for Asphalt Green. Asphalt Green provides underserved children and adults access to fitness programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and mental well-being, all of which set the foundation for healthy living. Your donation will create positive changes in communities through the power of sports and fitness. Each year, Asphalt Green runs free swim lessons for elementary school students through a program called Waterproofing. For the past couple of years, it has been my joy to be a supervisor for this program. The organization also awards scholarships for kids to participate in competitive sports teams and summer camp programs. Paired with our active recess program in public schools, sports leagues for middle school students, and fitness programs for the elderly population, Asphalt Green has touched many lives.
