Hi family & friends,

As a future rehabilitation medicine doctor, the intersection of disability & physical activity/wellness is very important to me. Over the past year, I've been volunteering for organizations that support physical activity & adapted sports for athletes with disabilities. I decided to run a marathon this year after finding success in shorter distances, including 1st place finishes in my age group/gender in the Katy Half Marathon 2021 and Houston 10k 2022. Taking after my fundraising powerhouse mom, I wanted to run my first-ever marathon for charity.

I volunteer as a sighted guide on the weekends for Team Catapult, helping runners with visual impairments have a great training session (picture attached). Team Catapult's annual grant program provides support for athletes with visual/mobility impairments to compete in the world of adapted sports. I hope you will consider donating to them; my goal is $500 and I greatly appreciate any amount.
