A MESSAGE FROM Christina's Fundraising Page
It's year 3 and I'm dreaming big! On May 20, 2023, I will join the entire Philadelphia Eagles organization and thousands of others from the community for the fifth annual Eagles Autism Challenge!
The CDC estimates that 1 in 44 people under 21 living in the United States are on the autism spectrum, making it the fastest-growing developmental disorder. Our eleven-year old son is among the 1 in 44. Autism affects our every day and we have seen firsthand the difference having the right resources can make.
Kellen was diagnosed at 3 1/2 and has been fully immersed in autism services and support since then. We’ll never forget putting him on a school bus to Early Intervention with his limited understanding and vocabulary of what to expect; to expanding his food palate from five foods to ten (yay for pizza nights!); to the everyday glimpses of how his different and beautiful mind navigates the complex world around us. It would not be true to say that it has been easy or stress-free, quite the contrary, but these last several years have taught us so much about what is truly important in life. It is for him and the millions others on the spectrum and their families, that I'm participating in the Eagles Autism Challenge.
This transformational event is committed to funding innovative autism research and care programs with the goal of advancing scientific breakthroughs. 100% of participant-raised funds will go directly towards the Eagles Autism Foundation, as together we take action for autism, not only in Philadelphia, but around the world. I hope you will consider making a donation towards my fundraising goal to help make a difference in the autism community. Thank you! Every dollar of participant-raised funds will go directly towards the Eagles Autism Foundation, as together we take action for autism, not only in Philadelphia, but around the world. I hope you will consider making a donation towards my fundraising goal to help make a difference in the autism community. Thank you!
