On March 19th I'll be running my first half marathon to support Girls Inc in New York City!
Girls Inc. programs partner with schools and local organizations around NYC to develop the whole girl. She learns to value herself, take risks, and discover and develop her inherent strengths. The combination of long-lasting mentorships, a pro-girl environment, and evidence-based programming equips girls to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers, and grow up healthy, educated, and independent.

Girls Inc. of NYC is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, delivering services that reach 10,000 girls, young women, and gender-expansive youth at sites across the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan.
Our programming – in partnership with schools and at our centers through 77 local organizations – focuses on the development of the whole girl. A combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships, a pro-girl environment and research-based programming equips girls to lead fulfilling and productive lives, break the cycle of poverty, and become role models in their community.
