Hi Friends and Family!
As some of you know, Jason and I have a dream
of running the NYC Marathon. It started when we lived in the Upper East Side just
off the course. Every year, we’d watch the runners fly by and think, “Wow –
this would be awesome!”. I am not a natural runner, but running a marathon
seemed like an amazing goal.
Due to Covid, we weren’t able to participate
in the NYC marathon, but we did run the Disney Marathon. I jogged, walked and
cried to the finish line. And, I said I’d never do it again!
In March of this year, we attended the 5th
Annual Tech with Heart Gala to support Child Rescue Coalition. While, I had
been familiar with the cause, I was blown away by the work that the
organization is doing. They work to keep every child safe – which is a cause we
can all support!
When we heard that Child Rescue Coalition was
going to be one of the charity partners for the marathon, our dream was
reinvigorated. We sprinted (pun intended! But there will be no sprinting on
race day) for the chance to be one of the running partners. To be able to run
the NYC Marathon with Jason and other Child Rescue Coalition Team Members is
going to be one of the highlights of our life.
No one wants to hear about the horrific online
abuse of children, but it is happening and increasing at an unimaginably
alarming rate. We can #jointhefight and make a difference together.
We are raising vital funds for Child Rescue
Coalition. The unique Technology CRC provides to Law Enforcement is completely
free of charge. It provides crucial information to investigators who can
then locate and arrest criminals who are sexually abusing children by trading
child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We are also creating more awareness of the
ongoing fight to combat online child sex abuse.
I am running the New York City Marathon. I
have personally paid my registration fee, flights, and accommodation. 100% of
any donation received will be a direct donation to Child Rescue Coalition. Your
donations make a difference by keeping the Tech free of charge and supporting
the upkeep and development of existing and new technology.
